The bard supped his ale and sat by the inn’s fireside and began to pluck at the strings of his lyre. The patrons of the bar were his inattentive audience. He hummed a few notes to find the right key, before beginning a melodious tune of his own devising.

The Tale of Nylox and Nylar

Let me sing you the tale of two fine brothers,
Elven travellers on the Long Road,
Nylox and Nylar, they came to Red Larch,
and witnessed a tremor and hole in the road.

Townsfolk and handcarts tumbled into abyss,
Children a-screaming, chaos and dread,
Nylox and Nylar rushed on to the rescue,
Descending to darkness they forged ahead.

Underground secrets, tunnels and caverns,
The intrepid brothers began to explore,
Nylox and Nylar went into the darkness,
Their deeds will be sung of forever more.

Stone dwarven sentinels, dead bodies and rats,
Statues and treasure, a boy pinned under stone
Nylox and Nylar, rescued the punished,
And learned of the secret Believers at home.

Believers and Delvers, spies and assassins,
Black Earthen Cultists, Bringers of Woe,
Nylox and Nylar prepared for the battle,
Fighting in darkness, despatching their foe.

A chamber of secrets and strange moving stone,
A spider-like priest, crawling out from a boulder,
Nylox and Nylar, heroes of Red Larch,
Vanquished the enemy in fire, flame and smoulder.

The minstrel finished his tune. Nobody in the bar applauded.

He pondered the lack of appreciation amongst his audience. “Hmmn. So maybe my poetry is crap. But I only had five minutes in which to write it”.

Paul - Do we need to do any levelling up before we start?

I think you're mistaking me for a kind-hearted benevolent GM.

That'll be a no.

You're all a few XP short of levelling up just yet. :)

There's an appeal.on the form but want to check if they have anything.they can give me as well.

mikeawmids - Thu 2 May - 18:18

I have sent a message to the Coronation Club FB profile asking what the appeal process is, just in case there is no-one on site tonight who can answer that question.

Sarge - Thu 2 May - 11:17

That was the last week of the rotation. Definitely challenge if you are sure you signed in

rhodsey - Wed 1 May - 13:36

I've just had a fine for the car park at club in post for 18th April. Pretty sure I signed in but could have missed it however just checking did anyone else get one for same night? before I challenge

Kaltek - Thu 11 Apr - 19:14

Just outside the car park now, there are still a few people from the wake at the moment

Garuda - Thu 11 Apr - 17:39

Should have read the posts below better. Looks like I'll be giving it a miss this week.

Garuda - Thu 11 Apr - 17:36

Did club indicate wake will go on all evening? Not a fan of gaming in the bar.

Temrane - Thu 11 Apr - 17:25
