Tempest Divinity

Chaotic Evil (like Riddick, ultimately fights for the right cause, but on occasion his methods may be deemed questionable)

Wouldn't that be some kind of Neutral alignment, don't see how a CE character can be part of any party with Good alignments. If Riddick just gets stuff done, then I would put him in one of the neutrals as he will be evil/good lawful/chaotic as the situation demands.

CE to quote the PHB

Chaotic evil (CE) creatures act with arbitrary violence, spurred by their greed, hatred, or bloodlust.

According to the Complete Scoundrel sourcebook,
Carl Denham from King Kong and Riddick from Pitch Black are Chaotic Evil.

Once he makes a claim he isn't going back. He never kills anyone who isn't a threat, he never kills anyone who hasn't attempted some form of violence against him. He acts calm and kills quickly without saying much about it.

Killing evil enemies is as natural as killing neutral or good enemies; the same goes for law/chaos.

He is entirely reactionary.

It is not compulsory for Chaotic Evil characters to be constantly performing sadistic acts just for the sake of being evil, or constantly disobeying orders just for the sake of causing chaos.

I can see the point (not a big fan of alignments anyway). I think my problem with ce characters in the party is playing in the (bad?!) old days when it tended to guarantee pc vs pc fights. Which I can't stand.
Just watch yaself shitface, Viggi's got her eye on you!

I too hate the days of party/character conflict. And like you are not a fan of alignments.

I will not play the character in a way that will cause any issues with the other characters, you have my word. I like the Tempest domain and didn't initially realise the alignment for Talos was CE. I just wanted a bit of freedom in my actions that's all.

If Paul is agreeable, more than happy shift away from CE, say to CN, if I can retain the Tempest Domain?
