System: Shadowrun II
Scenario: Peace be da journey...
Ref: Inept
Rotation: 1 (January 2016)
Starting Level: base
New Players: Yes
Number of Players: 5

You have been bad.... and that's saying something! You need to depart Seattle quick and that only viable option is Lotus Flower. Lotus is a fixer and he has a job that takes you out of town and that is just where you need to be!
The job he wants done is in the Jamaica Free Enclave. The rules work a bit different there but at least they speak English (well a version of it anyway)! Besides all Lotus wants is some stupid rock from a fair. What could possibly be wrong with that?

The players are a shadow runner group that call themselves Velvet Dynamo. You have just pulled the best job ever, and KNOW you need to lay low, bjut hey, stealing from Lonestar carries a risk... but also a reward. You know the other members of the group well, having done this last job with them and it took months to organise. The only problems is that the fixers arranging the job suffered a sudden and permanent retirement within hours, but at least you got paid first!. You have access to a fortune! over 1,000,000 nuyen is there on a bonded cred stick IF you want to take the chance to draw on it. So you find yourself on a boat speeding to Jamaica, only carrying what was immediately available AND the cred stick, Lotus is even going to pay you, 5k/pp which will cover expeneses

we will generate a character on week 1. Each character is known to the others and sufficient dependent on them to feel some loyalty.
You have a collective problem that needs resolving
you have 1,000,000 nuyen should you chose to use it
the game starts as the players pull into a deserted dock just after midnight and realise they are NOT alone...
Red Wine should always be opened and allowed to breathe....

if it doesn't apply mouth to bottle resuscitation.

thanks guys..
Think we will run with 4 not 5 as posted. I've had a look at the notes on the scenario and there is a lot going on. therefore managing 5 players could be problematic.

It would be useful to have at least one magically active player. two would be better, BUT you may not wish to ALL be magically active.

Think a bit about survival in foreign climes... someone with reasonable tech skill would be handy. Someone with med skils (as opposed to magical healing) might also be helpful. Finally you will need (as a group to be able to deal with both physical, magical and social threats, so please pick skills wisely.

The local language in Jamaica is English but there is also a patois of French/Spanish and Japanese mixed in with it. You will not be able to pass for locals without some serious ability/technology in linguistics and that may or may not be important...

You will be experienced shadow runners with some karma to spend at the start. I'm happy for you to convert that karma to cash if folks want to purchase extra cyber or bioware.

yeah they took a picture of it and said they'd get it cancelled. I've just put an appeal in to be safe and have messaged the club on facebook

I spoke to the barperson, and she spoke to a committee member. Did you show them the docs you were sent?

I have sent a message to the Coronation Club FB profile asking what the appeal process is, just in case there is no-one on site tonight who can answer that question.
