You're not the only one, looking into it.
It's strange, because my normal non-admin account can just fine. A brand new test account with bog standard permissions can just fine.

I need to find out if someone who isn't a moderator can post OK. It's either a permissions issue (but they look fine and I haven't changed any permissions) or a bug I think.

OK, so the issue does affect non-moderators. It's a bit of a head-scratcher as the shoutbox works fine for my account and for a test account I created - I can't actually recreate the issue people are having! The issue definitely lies with the shoutbox plugin we use. I shall speak to the plugin creators today and try some more tests tonight, or I'll downgrade to the previous shoutbox version.

Issue seems to be resolved and shoutbox seems to be working for people now, Some issue with the ability to delete your own posts, so I've had to withdraw that for the time being sorry! Anyway, should be business at usual.

Steve - It appears the only time I have a problem is when using Chrome. When using this browser, extra buttons (eg cancel, insert) appear and all are unresponsive.

Safari and IE are fine, no extra options for edit/delete though...

Thanks for checking Scott. I've had to disable the edit/delete again. That seems to be the root of the issue.

Where are these options (cancel, insert) appearing on Chrome? I don't see them on my screen. Here's a screenshot I see when posting in Chrome.



Can others let me know if they can post Chrome?
