Diary extract.

I'm almost sorry that I didn't go, because I can't really believe what they tell me. Occult rituals, living dead, its all fantasy, isn't it? Having seen the look on their faces they believe what they saw. Walking dead? I can scarce understand how it happens. I looked at the book they recovered and it was immediately engrossing. What it described were African rites, dark magic and power. Two weeks ago I would have considered it hocus pocus, and dismissed it. Now, having read that book, I'm not so sure. I feel as if everything I have know is inside a bubble and the bubble just pricked. God I sound like Elias...

Just to get it straight I have to write it down, maybe that's what he did too. The links between the African Ju Ju house, the Carlisle expedition and the dark magic are all there to be seen but where does the Penhew Foundation fit in? What I don't understand is how they link and what exactly these 'powers' are. I'm sure my colleagues (is that how I really feel about the old duffer and the collection of misfits?) discovered something unnatural but whether truly evil or simply men masquerading and calculating to frighten the locals I don't know. What concerns me more is that the police stepped in and discovered an illegal moonshine operation that 'conveniently' resulted in an explosion, and a number of fatalities. There was regrettably no evidence... now isn't that strange, don't they normally parade the stuff round?

Of more concern are the actions of Akio, the Japanese manservant to Sir Lancelot. The little man appears obsessed with playing with artefacts of dubious use. In particular... a mask. The mere thought of him wearing it ... the eyes ... despair ... evil...

I did something stupid. God forgive me. I tried to do something stupid, only my colleagues prevented it.

I need to speak with Sir Lancelot or the Japaner will be death of us. He needs to remember his place. The African toys are coming with us. I note that there are a number of other books on the subject. Forewarned is forearmed. May be worth giving the marksman a shout. This all appears more dangerous than it should.

Home beckons, I'll feel more settled when we get there. Time to relax and forget this. Maybe that will help... I appear to have picked up a stutter, every time I speak looking someone in the eye, I think of Akio and seem to forget... the eyes...

God I've written more in this blasted thing today than I have in the rest for years...

There's an appeal.on the form but want to check if they have anything.they can give me as well.

mikeawmids - Thu 2 May - 18:18

I have sent a message to the Coronation Club FB profile asking what the appeal process is, just in case there is no-one on site tonight who can answer that question.

Sarge - Thu 2 May - 11:17

That was the last week of the rotation. Definitely challenge if you are sure you signed in

rhodsey - Wed 1 May - 13:36

Kaltek - Thu 11 Apr - 19:14

Just outside the car park now, there are still a few people from the wake at the moment

Garuda - Thu 11 Apr - 17:39

Should have read the posts below better. Looks like I'll be giving it a miss this week.

Garuda - Thu 11 Apr - 17:36

Did club indicate wake will go on all evening? Not a fan of gaming in the bar.

Temrane - Thu 11 Apr - 17:25
